Welcome to WineBay. Like all families we get together as regularly as possible, however with 3 generations of the family in the hospitality business that is quite difficult at times! At a family dinner (see photo) we were discussing the options for buying wine online and and this is where the plan for WineBay was concieved.

We realised that consumers do not have easy access to well known wine brands online. Yes there are plenty of websites out there, however try finding your favourite brand, week in and week out at a great price - it is impossible. So we saw an opportunity to make wine consumers happy! It was a “no brainer” coming up with a name. We are all about wine online and we are the Bayfield Family.

WineBay.com.au is owned by the Bayfield Hotel Group. The Bayfield Hotel Group is a family-run business that was established by Neville, Wayne and Mark Bayfield more than 30 years ago. The family business is based at Newport in Sydney and has a portfolio that includes The Newport Arms, The Caringbah Hotel, The Dee Why Grand, The Belrose Hotel, Newport Mirage and Bayfield’s Liquor Superstores at Caringbah, Dee Why and Belrose. We are a fiercley independent and offer fantastic family friendly service.
Entering the online wine arena was a logical step for us given the changing consumer patterns that the internet has brought to liquor retailing. We think it perfectly complements our current business model. Even though we are based in Newport and our bricks and mortar venues are in Sydney we are going National with WineBay.com.au. We would like wine consumers in Queensland, NSW non metro regions, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia to experience some of our outstanding family service....something we are famous for. We are really looking forward to providing you with established wine brands at great prices and with the convenience of not having to move from the comfort of your home or office.
Life is too short to drink bad wine!
