Koonunga Hill Chardonnay reflects Penfolds' multi-region, multi-vineyard blending policy, which enables winemakers to source the best parcels of fruit to produce consistently high quality wines from each vintage. A light to medium bodied Chardonnay with distinctive primary fruit characters, sustained intensity and a subtle underlay of moderate oak.

Koonunga Hill Shiraz has successfully built upon offering rich Shiraz fruit flavours of plums and blueberries layered with a touch of pepper and spice. The wine has excellent structure and length, and while it is ready for drinking now, the wine will continue to develop in the short term.

Sourcing fruit from premium viticultural districts of South Australia known for producing varietal Cabernet fruit, this Thomas Hyland Cabernet Sauvignon offers a contemporary expression of varietal flavour and structure.This wine was matured in a combination of seasoned and new French and American oak barrels (27% new oak), while a smaller parcel remained unoaked to retain fruit freshness.

A deep dark red core with crimson edges. Ripe dark berry fruits of blackberry and mulberry, with creme de cassis notes are well balanced on the nose with spicy coffee / mocha oak. Dark fruits continue on the palate with dark cherries also covering the palate. Lovely intensity and depth of fruit flavour sits equally well with subtle oak influence and dusty Cabernet tannins creating excellent length on the back of the palate.

Launched in 1962, Penfolds Bin 128 is a regional wine that reflects the unique climate and growing conditions of South Australia's Coonawarra district and the elegant style of coolclimate Shiraz. From the 1980 vintage, French oak replaced American, highlighting the pepper-and-spice characteristics that define this style. Since the mid-1980s greater attention has been paid to fruit ripeness, resulting in a wine that is fuller in style and structure.

Coonawarra received rainfall at the right time during the growing season and also benefited from moderate temperatures. Each rainfall invigorated the vines and maintained canopy health. Mild temperatures throughout February and March allowed the fruit to develop desirable flavours whilst retaining acid before warmer temperatures in April culminated in a successful vintage.

Named after Grange Cottage, built in 1945, at Magill Estate and itself named for Mary Penfold's family home in England. Labelled Grange Hermitage until the 1989 vintage, Grange since the 1990 vintage. Made at Magill until 1973, Nuriootpa, Barossa Valley until 2000 and partly returned to Magill for the 2002 vintage. Concentration of flavour, complexity and longevity - Grange blossoms with 15 to 20 years of bottle age, when most other reds have past their best, and better vintages can live and continue developing for decades longer. And finally, heritage - first produced by Max Schubert in 1951, the '94 Grange represents over 40 years of winemaking excellence.
