The blocks showing exceptional class and intensity are earmarked as potential components of the Jacob’s Creek Johann Shiraz Cabernet, so that they could be afforded the best possible treatment at the winery. Harvesting takes place from mid to late March for Shiraz and during mid April for Cabernet Sauvignon.
Full depth crimson colour. The bouquet is rich and complex, showing a harmonious blend of ripe blackberry and spicy black pepper characters from Shiraz and refined, briary fruits from Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by cedary vanilla oak. The palate is dense, with layers of concentrated, stylish fruit flavour seamlessly integrated with stylish and attractive oak; full bodied in structure with intense, fine yet soft tannins, carrying the fruit to a long, rounded finish.
