The first notes of vanilla, almond and haselnut are followed be nuances of colourful sun soaked summer fruits - apricots, yellow peaches, nectarines and poached pears. Gradually this generous fruitiness is joined by a soft spiciness of cinnamon, gingerbread and freshly ground coffee. Blend: Pinot Meunier 43%, Pinot Noir 29% and Chardonnay 28%

Mumm Cordon Rouge Brut embodies the G.H. MUMM House style of freshness, elegance and power from the quality of the Pinot Noir in the blend. This style has been passed down from one Cellarmaster to another since 1827 and our current Cellarmaster, Didier Mariotti, continues this tradition today.
The blend of 45% Pinot Noir provides structure, intensity and power. 25% Pinot Meunier gives a fruity bouquet, liveliness and a rounded feel. 30% Chardonnay complements the whole with finesse and elegance.
Dom Pérignon (1638-1715) was a monk and cellar master at the Benedictine abbey in Hautvillers. He was the first to blend grapes in such a way as to improve the quality of wines in 1670. Dom Pérignon was the first to introduce corksto keep the wine fresh, and used thicker glass to strengthen the bottles.
