Vintage Conditions:  The 2009 – 2010 growing season saw one of the earliest seasons to date. Timely rainfall received during early summer gave the vineyards some relief from a dry winter and  spring. Conditions for ripening of Pinot Grigio were close to ideal with warm days and cool nights. Fruit was picked once optimal flavours were achieved.

Winemaking:  Fruit was hand harvested and whole bunch pressed to retain varietal character and freshness and to avoid any pink colour pickup. Winemaking techniques included warmer fermentation with fine solids to improve texture and softness while preserving varietal expression. The wine is given extended time on yeast lees to give complexity to the natural fruit flavours

Appearance:  Light straw colour with green tinges.

Bouquet: Honey and hay aromas, hints of perfumed aromatics, typical of Pinot Grigio.

Palate: Light refreshing palate with pleasant grassy and herbal fruit flavours
