These light bodied wines are made with minimal skin contact achieving varying shades of pink from pale coral to deep crimson. These wines usually exhibit crisp bright berry fruit flavours - perfect for summer.
Vineyard Region: Western Australia - Margaret River and Geographe.
Vintage Conditions: It was an early start to the vintage. Winter rains were about average. An unusually dry hot December and January followed; with only a few intermittent showers in late January. This led to a promising start to the vintage and an early end to surfing. Whites were off early, picked in the cool crisp dawns resulting in some wonderful fresh and vibrant wines.
Grape Variety: Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot.
Maturation: This wine was matured in stainless steel to retain a fresh fruit focus.
Colour: Salmon pink with watermelon hues. Nose: Fleshy red fruits of strawberries are apparent on the nose - this is bright, fresh and very tempting. Palate: The red fruited theme continues on the palate with savoury notes keeping the palate balanced. Cleansing acidity creates a crisp and cleansing finish. In typical Rose fashion - extremely more-ish!
