Riesling produces some of Australia’s best dry white wines. An aromatic variety that can be enjoyed in its youth when it displays citrus, lime and mineral characters or if allowed to age,will develop complex toast or honeyed characters.

There was a proper old-fashioned Clare autumn and winter in 2009.  It was really cold and wet and set up the old Hanlin Hill vineyard for the 2010 vintage. 
The Hanlin Hill vineyard has produced slatey Riesling with bright acid since the first Petaluma vintage in 1979 and the 2010 is very much in this mould.  It is immediately approachable and also has the structure and provenance to age gracefully for decades.  It has a gloriously long life ahead of it.
