One of Australia’s oldest wine regions, located 261 km northwest of Sydney on the central western tablelands of New South Wales, Mudgee is home to the country’s earliest Chardonnay vines and is renowned for full bodied examples of this variety along with classic Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon red wines. Situated at over 500m and with soils of ancient red clay loam of volcanic origin, the family’s vineyards deliverhigh quality grapes that with careful nurturing create wines of outstanding varietal character, complexity and balance.
This Chardonnay, grown on Mudgee’s high altitude climate and ancient red-brown earth, was produced in our modern winery with the best of traditional winemaking techniques – giving an aromatic and fruit-driven wine with structure and minerality at the core.
