These light bodied wines are made with minimal skin contact achieving varying shades of pink from pale coral to deep crimson. These wines usually exhibit crisp bright berry fruit flavours - perfect for summer.
Blend: 88% Shiraz 12% Merlot
Region: Central Ranges, NSW
Harvest: Late March 2011
Winemaking: Vinified from selected parcels. The best parcels of Shiraz, de-stemmed & crushed and then cold soaked for several days. When a good balance of colour and flavour without extracting tannins achieved, the juice was drained off skins, settled and racked clear, prior to cool fermentation. Post ferment racked straight off yeast lees and stabilised.. The individual parcels were then blended, stabilised and prepared for bottling.
Appearance: Bright vibrant pink.
Aroma: Lifted fresh notes of strawberries and raspberries..
Palate: Fresh juicy berries with good fruit weight and a crisp acidity.
Cellar: Drink now whilst fresh and lively.
Serve With: On its own as an aperitif, or as an accompaniment to seafood, salads or vegetarian dishes. Deliciously Pink!
