The most common form of blending red wine in Australia is by using Cabernet, Shiraz and Merlot. Each variety of grape creating different depth of flavour and texture to the final product.

The fruit was harvested at night and early morning then de-stemmed to a fermenter where warm, controlled fermentation was carried out. Post fermentation, the wine was filled to a blend of American and French oak hogs-heads, (10% new, 90% 1 to 4 year old oak) for malolactic fermentation. The wines were racked after MLF and returned to oak for an average of 12 months oak maturation.
WINE COLOUR: Vibrant red with a youthful purple hue.
WINE BOUQUET: The wine has a lifted complex nose with aromas of blackcurrant, plum and mint. More savoury characters of dried herbs, spice, cedar and chocolate add to the wines charm.
WINE PALATE: The wine has luscious berry characters throughout the palate while spice, liquorice and dark chocolate characters add complexity. The wine whilst rich in texture, has a soft, round mid palate with long elegant tannins and a velvety, persistent finish.
