Vintage Conditions - 2010 was quite an early vintage with bud burst being two to three weeks early across most vineyards. Some rain over the Christmas period gave the bunches some well needed moisture before harvesting in late January.

Winemakers Notes - Sourced from premium chardonnay vineyards within the lower Hunter Valley. After partial fermentation in stainless steel, the juice was transferred to French oak barriques (225L) and Puncheons (500L) to complete the fermentation and spent six months maturing in wood. No malolactic fermentation occurred while making this wine.

Tasting Notes - A medium bodied, fruit driven style that still exhibits crisp citrus and white peach flavours, with a palate that has gained extra texture from extended maturation on yeast lees.

Serving Suggestions - The freshness of this chardonnay makes it a perfect companion to seafood, chicken or pasta dishes. Excellent drinking upon release and will develop bottle age complexity.
